Augmentative & Alternative Communication for Children
The AAC App ("we", "our", or "the app") is a communication aid designed to help nonverbal and minimally verbal children with autism express themselves through picture symbols and text-to-speech.
We do not collect any of the following:
The app stores the following data locally on your device only, using Android's standard SharedPreferences storage:
This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to any server, shared with any third party, or accessible to us in any way.
The AAC App does not require an internet connection and does not make any network requests. The app works fully offline.
The app uses Android's built-in Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine to speak symbols and sentences aloud. TTS processing happens entirely on-device. No audio or text is sent to external servers.
This app is designed for use by children, under the supervision of a parent, caregiver, or therapist. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations:
The AAC App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs. There are no ads of any kind.
The app may request the following Android permissions:
No other permissions are requested or required.
Because all data is stored locally on your device and no data is transmitted, your information is protected by your device's own security (screen lock, encryption, etc.).
If we ever update this privacy policy, the new version will be posted at this URL. We encourage you to review it periodically. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
